In these scrap yards, the scrap basket is handled by a wagon with a diesel engine whose control, via the wireless network, is positioned both on the loading crane and in the factory control area of the casting furnace. From the plant it is possible to send a basket loading menu to the operator on the crane, who is able to display it on a monitor in the cabin, then, by means of a joystick moves the basket wagon in the most appropriate area and starts loading according to the directives received, he sees the weight increase on the monitor on board (weight transmitted by load cells on board the wagon) until the menu request is reached. At the end of the process, it transfers the wagon to the casting furnace area shed.
